I’m a big fan of the Maccabees and I was very pleased to see their new video for ‘feel to follow’. It shows a group of people urbexing. This is the act of exploring urban areas that are generally off-limits to regular civilians. I really want to find some interesting places.

I’ve just bought a new lens for my camera. It was about 1.5 times more expensive than another lens which I could have bought but being an ultra wide 10 - 20mm, I can probably fit about 50 times more in the picture. I can’t wait to get going with it.

There’s no place like home.

I was walking to uni when I saw that some sofas had been dumped by a path. I was pleased to see some homeless people getting comfy. I asked them for a photo!

I can’t really justify buying the iphone4s when I know that the iphone 5 will be out in possibly less than a year so I treated myself to the helvetica typeface for my android phone. It’s definately a step in the right direction at least.

Yesterday I returned from a two month trip to India. I had the most amazing time. In Mumbai, I bought a few new cameras and enjoyed the low costs of film developing in India.

I am working at an orphanage in Dindigul, India for one month before traveling around the country for another month. I thought some light painting using glow sticks would entertain the children for a while. I don’t think they had ever seen glow sticks before so they loved it. I loved the results!

This evening I am going to India for 2 and a bit months. I’m a little anxious but mostly excited. Maybe I will post photos on here when I get a chance. Who knows?

I am aware that this blog which I write on contains a bit of everything -design, music, comedy, videos and other interests of mine. This is fine, however I have recently accepted a place to study design at Edinburgh College of Art and I thought it would be good to run a blog which focuses purely on this subject. I’m going to try to continue this blog posting a variety of things whilst also running my Design-Line-Felix blog.

I have often found things which relate to design ideas which I have or which inspire me. In a purely selfish way, the primary purpose of my new blog is to make sure I don’t forget these concepts. A few days ago, I was honored to have my blog featured under the design tag. Inspiring other people with my posts has got to be a bonus.
